AFTER DARK
Photoluminescent treatment.
After dark, the carbon-fibre case, the indices and the hands glow. A photoluminescent treatment stores light while the watch is out in daylight or under a lamp, then gives it back as a soft green glow when the lights go down. It needs no battery and no charging: it recharges every time it sees light again. On Project 2 the glow is not limited to the hands and markers. It runs through the carbon-fibre case itself, so after dark the whole octagon is visible, not just the time.
